Golden Pine Cone 2011 Best Wine Store/Section Award!
Nielsen's has been Voted The Golden Pine Cone in 2008, 2009, 2010, & 2011 for Best Wine Store/Section!
Thank you Carmel for voting for us four years in a row! In 2010 The Carmel Pine Cone summarized the store's changes and types of wine store you can expect to see and experience after shopping at Nielsen's your local landmark for 81 years.
"This charming corner market has long had a corner on the wine market in Carmel. Family owned and operated, the store boasts a cellar housing a collection that spans the globe, ranging from affordable Southern Hemisphere wines, to hard-to-find vintages with triple-digit prices. Longtime owners Merv and Nancie Sutton sold their market to Tigran and Azniv Amirkhanian, who are carrying on the Nielsen’s tradition and have just celebrated their first anniversary as owners. The store’s staff will happily offer advice about which wine to pour with what foods, the best gift bottles or the ideal wine in your price range."
Thank you for your vote Carmel!
