Nielsen Brothers Market Celebrates its 80th Anniversary with Carmel!

One of the oldest landmarks in the town of Carmel-by-the-Sea celebrated its 80th Anniversary on September 22, 2010!  There was a ribbon-cutting for the store's milestone, which was established in 1930.  Simultaneously, another anniversary was celebrated, which was the one year anniversary of its new owners Tigran and Azniv Amirkhanian.

International cheeses, Boar's Head deli meats, fruits, Mediterranean olive dishes, desserts, & wine from local vineyards were served.  To top it off Azniv's homemade Bourma was served on this special day.  The food was gone before the event was over!  The event was from 5-6:30pm and you could not have asked for better weather.  There was a turn-out of about 200 attendees and the front patio of the store was packed.  Friends, locals, supporters, Carmel Chamber of Commerce, Carmel's and Nielsen Brothers Market's fellow business owners, & councilmen all attended.

The event was announced and recorded in the Carmel Pine Cone on September 17, 2010 in the Food & Wine section on page 17A, http://www.pineconearchive.com/100917PCA.pdf  . Also, the Carmel Chamber of Commerce will have photographs in addition to an article in their newsletter.
